Mama Rita, chef and owner, is from Southern Italia. She grew up in the small town of Cariati which is in the region of Calabria. She started cooking at a young age and later moved to the United States with her husband and continued to cook traditionally for over 40 years.
She started out in the small town of Kimball, South Dakota to be a chef in several different restaurants in the area. Her talents were more than a small town could appreciate so she moved to Sioux Falls to open Nucci's in 2005. Mama Rita has grasped the love of a great clientele who truly appreciates the culinary touches she brings to Nucci's
With over 10 flavors of Italian Ice and over 20 flavors of Gelato, plus Paninis, pastas, soups, salads, Italian coffee, beer, wine and other beverages, Nucci's is an Italian bistro where people can break away from their busy day and relax and enjoy themselves.
