PrairieSun Organics is a family farm owned and operated by the Sasse and Heiman families. The 5th generation family farm in Nobles County, MN, was homesteaded by Gustav Sasse, from Hamburg, Germany. A 2nd farm in Woodbury County, IA, was addes in 2009. Their efforts together offer incredible tasting grass-fed beef and buffalo products and fresh vegetables grown under certified organic faming practices. These practices are regulated by the USDA NOP and require annual inspections on the farm.
Because they also have off farm jobs, they work together with other local small scale producers to help produce, process, and market products through farmer's markets. Their products are grown and processed the traditional way - with artisanal craft and traditional organic practices by the families who really care about the land and good health.
