Henry and Harriet Kattenberg moved their kids to a rural acreage 20+ years ago. Their farming odyssey began with fresh summer vegetables and sun-ripened strawberries on their table. In 1996 they sold their first bag of lettuce locally and in 2000 they joined the Downtown Farmers Market, Inc. (now dba Falls Park Farmers Market) in Sioux Falls, SD. After growing naturally all those years, they took the plunge in 2003 and became Certified Organic. Now they have a new quest: Nutrient Density. Feed the soil. Feed the billions of livestock i.e. microbes, etc., in that soil and their vegetables will gain in flavor, natural vitamins and minerals, and provide life-giving forces to the humans who eat them.
